People on BP make vast generalizations about "Chicago" but there's a so many areas, neighborhoods and communities that falls under that name.

A bit about the land: it’s in a neighborhood located in a national forest about 40 minutes from a bustling and growing city (Mount Pleasant, SC).

In terms of the loan(s), I currently have a steady and competitive W2 job and very low DTI, however I’ll ensure to verify the rules and regulations for rental income when shopping lenders, so I don’t hit a roadblock when buying the next rental. 

He’s helped quite a few BP members successfully STR in the area and is a one stop shop for all STR needs.

The amount of new apartments buildings I have seen go up within the last 2 years and the transformation that my own neighborhood has gone through in the last 3 years has been a rapid change in my opinion.

If so, what is your budget because that affects what neighborhood or city can afford which affects the type of tenants you would ultimately appeal to. 

I get it I built half a dozen starter homes in FLA that were to minimum UBC code but they are still designed better than HFH when it comes to curb appeal.. and keep in mind your neighborhood is owner occ.. huge difference than subsidized housing. 

This list is just one of many data points that can help identify areas.This is a 500 ft view, you still have to drill down into neighborhoods, streets and specific houses that will work well as a STR or Vacation rental (not just an airbnb).I look for higher end vacation rental properties above and beyond what people call airbnb's.A room in someone's house can be an "airbnb" after all.I love the new Vrbo commercial with Nick Saban.
