Traditional lending does what they can to guard against this but private money and hard money loans will ignore some of the underwriting requirements of traditional banks.

Many GI bill entitlements expire after 10-15 years, right when most service members with a family would be able to use it.The military is a great option for people needing to jump start their financial life, it's how I became an investor.The great wealth of the western world is guarded and made possible by humans who raise their hand and sign a blank check (which could mean their life).

My husband is in the Coast Guard and we will likely look to buy a 4-plex with a VA loan once we're transferred again mid 2016.

Hopefully others don't fall prey to similar upsells during these seminars.Going forward it's just important to have your guard up when it comes to anything related to real estate education.
