Find agents that specialize in that building and let them know what you are looking for (check streeteasy to see if there are a few agent names that come up frequently as the listing agents). 

I know some great wholesalers & contractors in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, & a few in Charlotte, NC - if you need to build a team of people that frequently works with remote investors.   

My wife and I have been taking frequent trips to Raleigh in order to get a better feel for the area.
