I own a 100 year-old home in Washington, IL and I absolutely love renovating and restoring my house.  

However, I am refinancing my condo into a conventional to restore some of my VA entitlement. 

I waived 1/3 rent because tenant did not LR and 1 BR.Tenant wanted to move out during the restoration process but my Ins said tenant needs to contact their insurance for hotel expenses.

Most decent sized cities have a ReStore that is run by habitat for humanity.

Give anything salvageable to your local Restore/Habitat for humanity and let them do some good with it.

His equity will grown in this through debt pay down and it can also appreciate.  28 years until his pension restores to full payment is a long time and chances are he can/will refinance in that time frame to pull out more cash and purchase more cash flowing assets. 

I've spent some time in the mortgage industry, construction industry, and am currently working in the property restoration (fire, flood, mold) field. 

So I made a huge mistake with my ComEd bill and the power was shut off on my tenants.I tried my best to restore power after the tenants notified me on a Friday morning, but it was an exceptionally busy and important work day for me, hold times were forever with ComEd, and long story short I played phone tag with ComEd all day but was unable to connect with them to turn the power back on. 

They also have to build a 500-foot levy before they can restore services.  

Fast-forward to 2016, we sold the agency, I was bought out of my contract, and have been managing my property, working freelance, & working construction (restoration/framing/new build/furniture - commercial & residential) in Nashville.Looking forward to connecting with investors & property managers in Nashville & beyond,Brian Mulligan
