I cut the cards, got a second job and paid off the debts through blood sweat and tears.  

He trusts me with everything, he is my brother (not blood), and that has been one of the dynamics that have allowed it to work.

Real estate gets in your blood in a way few if any other investments can.       

But realize that it may be like squeezing blood from a rock...

Two that immediately come to mind for me are dogs that can sense high/low blood sugars for people with diabetes and dogs that can alert their owners when they are about to have a seizure.

Overages with bob diamond of approximately $1,500 are too rich for my blood.

Blood in the streets will barely be a descriptive term,,,what will happen??

I basically tell them that if they have three or more unrelated people (not married, not related by blood) then they are held to a higher standard.

(Setting aside builder organizations that are really more about prestige and blood money than they are cost savings)The problem, of course, with buying bulk materials is that you either need a bunch of guys who want their sheetrock/nails/roofing/whatever immediately, or you have to store the stuff somewhere which typically negates any real cost savings... not to mention shipping charges.
