Unfortunately being a rookie I went with an inspector that came from a company that had a solid website and the inspection failed to spot many items.

They are the only home inspection company I’ve used that pulls permits to see all the work that has been done on the houses prior to inspection.

Has anyone had dealings with a company that places disaster victims in temporary housing? 

They have connections to multiple insurance companies and can always find someone to carry the insurance.I'd also recommend using Obie Insurance. 

Talk to your insurance company - depending on your deductible and potential increase in future insurance you may or may not want to put in your own claim.I would also probably consider cutting my losses and getting rid of the tenant asap.

Note that I mostly rent B2B (directly to insurance relocation companies and other corporations) but I include the cost of the waiver each month in the rent that I charge.

I’m considering selling and using the proceeds to reinvest in a long term rental closer to where I live but before I do, I am curious if you think a rental management company may be able to help boost rentals, thus making this a profitable property?
