However you are right, it was no where near as bad as bullets going into walls but I have had my fair share of break ins and police disturbances.

The landlord isn't going to open the place up and disturb the tenants for every curious person.

One roommate out of three tenants on a joint + several lease has descended into hardcore drug use, bringing domestic disturbances and unwanted guests as well as drug use on the property according to the other roommates.

But most come from seeing the sign out front.I recently set up a Google Voice number and set it to Do Not Disturb, with a recorded message about the unit features and qualifications.

They probably used bob cats to load the stuff out, and had to regrade the disturbed area.  20 minutes with a hand post hole digger would probably tell you everything you need to know.  

Still disturbing . . .

That way it is not removed or disturbed and should not cause issues further down the road.
