The money is not cheap but it is abundant and the lenders understand real estate and real estate investment in a way that traditional bankers do not (or will not because of regulations by which they must abide in screening borrowers).

In theory, given that The Dominican Republic has a well-established short-term rental industry with an abundance of property managers, you'd expect that any owner who doesn't know how to properly play the STR game would hire a property manager.

This is especially true where the cost to purchase a house is high and the need for affordable housing is abundant.
