Here are some of my ultimate dreams in life and passions:Big dream 1:  I would love to one day be a commercial and residential real estate developer and investor with my own business.Big dream 2:  I have a non real estate, technology/innovation/manufacturing product idea I would like to one day create, the barrier to entry is high though.Ideas to get there:  1.  

Another innovative idea is to allow the new owner to pick their siding.  

In my experience around here it is very hard to get new renters in Nov Dec and Jan I think mostly because of the holiday but where your at the harsh winters are another reason for people to not want to move.

I will be closing on my first investment property in Norfolk during last week in OCT or first week in NOV.

What are some tips for a business investor experienced in high risk startups shifting into real estate investment? How drastically do they differ, what are some of the most transferable skills between either? 

How do you plan to combat those issues, will you expand your network, move to a new location, expand your marketing, or some other innovative strategy?

There are two types of realtors out there; retail stuck in old traditional system go by market value and sometimes are emotional when it comes to dealing with them, offended by offers that are made to them by investors, these types in some RARE cases don't submit offers, keep in mind offers can be relayed verbally or in writing by a buyer, in both cases it is the Realtors responsibility to present all offers to their buyer by the letter of the law.And Investor friendly realtors, flexible non-emotional and innovative in most cases, NOT THE HOUSE WIFE MENTALITY OR WEEKEND REALTOR present all offers from my experience unless the EXCEPTION as described below is in effectIn terms of presenting offers there is an exception:HOWEVER, there is an EXCEPTION, a seller can instruct a realtor not to present any offers to them below a certain offered price.
