I Heard PS is taking meetings on this- but any chance they will ban short term like Ojai just did? 

Some communities like Newport Oregon, where I focus, have done a very good job of regulating VR's but encouraging them, while other communities have completely banned them.  

I thought short term rental was ban in Santa Cruz years ago, as a coworker at the time bought into it and a year later, short term rental got banned....She took a big hit at the time because RE prices tanked because of that legislation.....But it seems to be legal again now?  

I'm guessing mine is going to b an expensive learning lesson as well will urs ... good luck

Though, there is some noise in the more affluent parts to limit or ban vacation rentals from certain submarkets/townships, etc.  

The AG put that claim in his complaint and got the defendant banned from RE activities, but I didn't see a "conviction" of brokering without a license.

There are some news articles circling about that the Councilman was considering a short term ban.

Wholesalers are functioning without a license [many states ban it] and operate with no disclosures, safegaurds or what not - for the buyer, seller or even themselves.

From my research, it appeared they were outright banned in Clark County??
