I scanned it into the computer, cleaned up the letters so they are real sharp, without ink blots, if an individual letter (abc...) was poorly formed, I replaced it with a letter found elsewhere on the page.  

They handed us applications walking out the door and told us to turn our application in by 9 a.m. sharp tomorrow.
