First off, I have to agree wholeheartedly with @Wesley C. and even though I am NO "DOOMSDAY ECONOMIST" and poke fun at times at the literally THOUSANDS of youtube videos, websites, etc that have been predicting a US and/or world economic doomsday for years, even if its not a complete economic collapse with anarchy in the streets and "every man for himself" event with modern civilization ending suddenly, we still do have some scary numbers in a LOT of categories of our economy that scare me to various extents and another "Lehman event" is not at all a far off possibility.

On one hand I know that clean and modern design is in these days, especially among the young and affluent.

8.What appeal does modern look architecture such the project above has locally compared to traditional architecture such RTown Lane project at Kirkwood ave?

I am currently doing IT consulting for a great TV, cell phone, tablet, and Laptop maker :-) things are great right now, but I always felt/feel I'm not in full control of my paycheck or my future as an employee.

Whether they are morally acceptable or should be expected in modern business ethics I leave to philosophers and practitioners. 

The  house is in great condition and has many modern updates.
