Bigger Pockets has more than just these forums, they also have a library of books that will answer most of these questions.Searching the forums first will give you some base knowledge to ask a more refined question when you want to hit the forums to ask something.

Basically, it's met my needs for years, but i can't install it onto a new PC without signing up for (full) Quicken as a service.I have a property manager who maintains the buildings, manages tenancies, and basically reports to me what they did.  

If you don't have a real strong knowledge of the neighborhood and whether or not any of the rosy projections about the Obama library and new park are actually going to bring prices up, you are just hoping that it appreciates with no guarantee.

There's a ton of excitement for the Obama Presidential Library, but I'm personally looking to see if there's an employer that will move in and bring blue collar jobs to some of these neighborhoods. 

I like Oakland downtown area. 14th st and Madison is next to the library and the lake.

Educate yourself for free with books from library, youtube, and podcasts while you find a decent W-2 job.
