Yes it was huge, but there was no privacy.

Also, I would just consider the crypto as unreachable as well - the whole point of crypto currency is that it's supposed to be protected from fraud, seizure, third party control, etc, for whomever holds the keys.

@Matthew Wright you're going to have a hard time doing this.Currently, you are bypassing a LOT of regulation requirements by letting the prospects pay the 3rd party directly.If you want to collect Application Fees, you will need to take on all the responsibilities & corresponding liabilities of Fair Credit Reporting Act and Data Privacy regulations. 

Similarly, weigh the benefits of lower maintenance and potential appeal to young professionals with townhouses against the privacy and higher rent potential of single-family homes.

2 seems best if she is open to losing a  bit of privacy but its a step in the Real estate journey:)

Some thoughts - garages or carports, for extra income from tenantsIf you have the ability to add a second driveway, consider trailer / boat / rv storage in an area enclosed by a privacy fence, or even garages to be rented to non-tenants for cars / storage.

Not sure if it is a scam or if it would pose potential safety/privacy issue.

You will basically be giving up a large amount of your privacy to a relative stranger.
