Personally I think from Richmond all the way down here to VB is an overlooked area, and could really become a hot spot as people get priced out of the more southerly beach markets.

Finding good management is difficult, especially in VB, Chesapeake area (which is why I self-managed from so far away), so interview several before you leave in case you need one later.

@Gary Floring I’m going to assume you are not really that totally ignorant about figuring out interest charges, but rather you’re just drunk on the VB koolaid, or part of Renatus yourself.....The “ratio” of interest to principal payments is Purely a function of how much principal is outstanding on the loan, whether it be a 30year mtg or a heloc.

I just checked the MLS and there are currently 55 properties in the cities of VB, Norf, Ches & Ports that list some sort of owner financing as an option.
