@Kurt Z.Most of your {reputable} remote-controlled lock sets {in a larger building or commercial setting} use Zigbee, zWave or, perhaps, a proprietary low-power wireless communication back to a hub/grid/control system which may be connected to the Internet (via a gateway), a private network or have dial-in access.
