Of course...you just need to apply for a Fictitious License through your county.

Hi Jason,I'm not sure just having a licence is enough to protect you from being named in a suit.As @Greg M. said above get a professionally done lease "A Commercial Lease if this is a business" (does zoneing allow this (???)).

For example (fictitious) - can my future LLC (a) acquire properties (as above), (b) provide consulting services, and (c) offering commercial cleaning?

If you were ambitious, you might create a fictitious name for managing the brand of the furnished rentals.

A different approach is placing a “tester” ad on Craigslist (posting a fictitious sf rental deal to see if the specs you choose can drive contact) and when receiving calls about this property you simply say “It is no longer available, however, would you like to be added to my investor list to know about the next one?”
