The high speed rail has some approval: The high-speed rail station in Merced is environmentally cleared to be located adjacent to State Route (SR) 99 and the Union Pacific Railroad (UPPR) line on SR 59 – also known as Martin Luther King Jr.

As you go down the scale of desirability, the price goes down, until you reach the small station, in a bad location, hard to get to, in a low income neighborhood, with environmental compliance issues.  

I'm a staunch environmentalist, and I so often find that environmentalism aligning perfectly with my staunch capitalism.

I've got a unique project and hope for some feedback:A client of mine is trying to figure out what to do with some land in Loudonville Ohio (Ashland County OH) that is currently undergoing environmental remediation (undertaken by the previous owners).  

@Sharath Kumar the pop corn ceilings could be a major problem along with any texture on the walls if they are asbestos or lead containing. there is no way to do it your self in Colorado both the removal of asbestos and lead are highly regulated by the Colorado dept of public health's air pollution division, it would be really dangerous to attempt to do this type of friable removal in an apt building because of the shared air systems used in the 1970's you could  contaminate the entire building with asbestos fibers or lead dust.

By the way RR, I have done legal research for more than a dozen law firms as a consultant, have done research for environmental non-profits across the United States, and advise 35 countries on legislation.

I also plan to market it to my end buyer the fact that it is a green environmentally friendly product.

Less pollution, reduction in traffic, etc.

The oil tank is in the basement (so no environmental concerns) but I'm wondering how oil deliveries and cost are usually handled in a rental lease.
