After all, we are the ones that have to carry the risk associated with owning this property and we need to be able to sleep well at night knowing that we will still be able to pay the mortgage and fix the furnace if it dies on Christmas eve. 

I personally don’t see it and I’m not psyched that the experts who I’m sure will run laps patting themselves on their back if they are eve rigth haven’t apologized or at least admitted how wrong they’ve been. 

If you’re worried about asset protection ( and anyone with eve a minimum of assets to protect should be), you’ll want to check assets “exempt” from creditor attachment by state law, as well as Federal law.
