Our house is in the R2 zone (4 blocks off main) and the process to transfer the permit back in March was a breeze.

But I kinda love that sort of thing...I drove block-by-block around a dozen neighborhoods of interest and mapped out where I want to be lol.

Would very much appreciate opinions on whether Canton, Ohio is a good area for buy and hold or flipping, specifically within a few blocks of intersection of routes 43 and 172.  

Some investors know block by block which places not to invest in.

That's not to say you can't do well there, but I'd encourage you to look at Belton and Temple (which can also be very rough and block to block) rather than Killeen.The good news is that there continues to be serious population and job growth in the area.  

I've lived and invested in areas like this before, and I know it can vary block by block.

A suggestion about Furnished Finders, their calendar sucks because you can't block off your high-season months, a real detriment to taking bookings through them.

I would add that you can go a long way just having some clean color schemes (two wall colors and one trim color will do almost any house) and a few tasteful accent pieces. 

I will also add that many independent travelers that do room rentals enjoy having their own fridge.To keep things kosher in shared spaces, my friend who runs PadSplit says every room comes with one colors or plates cups etc to ensure that guests are accountable for their own dishes.

We found out the potentially the whole block has led pipes so we are needing a contractor to cut a hole in the floor.
