So just had to bite the bullet and move on. 

The answers are to price in a higher utility cost into the rent, or, bite the bullet and separate the meters.  

Bite the bullet and just replace it . get it done and over . 

I am equally frustrated by this, but I don't have a silver bullet. 

Along with doing our best to try and dodge bullets from such investors in this thread.

Or set up a bullet proof system that makes it simple to manage the property from afar.

Or should I just bite the bullet and look to pay an attorney.  

They help you resolve issues that show up, thus my last two bullet points are not negative feedback about the company.

It depends on where you are living, how long you think you will be living here, if 3 years is the minimum but a good chance it’s gonna be longer bite the bullet & buy, if 3 years is the max it’s probably better to just rent, regardless nothing will cash flow, the big benefit is locking in your payment, but the value of that depends on the timeline, as far a where that would really depend on your preference’s in price point, do you want urban or suburban living, how big a space, how nice etc?

Seems like we should bite the bullet and replace it as the devil is in the details.
