I'd like the home for a personal residence so I contacted this lady, apologized for her financial difficulties and told her I may be able to save her credit and take the home off her hands.

I apologize if this may have already been asked/discussed, but here's the gist of it: I purchased a 3-unit property at an awesome price (under $50k), in a good area, that needs rehabbing!  

That is not typically true 99% of the time lenders are paid on the loan amount and this gets them incentivized to find best rates and win the deal so I apologize if that was confusing.

New to the forums, and I haven't been able to find the answer to this question yet (I apologize if its been answered already).

Cons - Texas Property Taxes are a bit higher than most Hello, just jumping in on this apologies, if Texas taxes are prohibitive, what states are not and does it make a difference where the LLC is registered or not?
