I read or heard something about anti-price gouging laws applying even with AB1482-exempt properties. 

Pick places you like to go on vacation or would like to start going to on vacation.Google top vacation destination to get ideas.Mountains, Rivers and beaches are always popular.Be warry of locations that is already saturated with STR or where they are anti STR.

I won't share it it (anti-trust concerns) but I'll be happy to make a proposal for anyone doing SFR in one of our cities nationwide.

It is the fine details that are often different (eg, there is no such thing as a forclosure in Ontario, there is no "courthouse steps" auction, there is no "absentee owner list" and the rules regarding landlord/tenant are wildly anti-landlord here).
