STR can work out in eastern CT, but they have to be near the casino and priced competitively when compared to the hotels in the area.

In one small town in NC, there is a casino being constructed in an area with almost no STRs, it's still 2 years from opening, but what people don't realize is that because of the lack of hotels, and the size of the projects, contractors have no where to stay, two of my clients have bought very cheap housing in the area, modestly furnished it, and have better ROI than almost any other investment they've ever had. 

My city, Richmond VA just announced a large $350 million casino development with hotel restaurant spa etc.

A casino doesn't gamble, the individual player is gambling but the House isn't gambling. 

Just 4 years ago no one would touch Schenectady with a 100 foot pole but so much has happened in the last 4 years since the Casino.

I would finance it for the price of approximately 130k after taxes and would pay about 15k to have it installed (which can be financed with the board as well) The billboard company hasn’t given me a down payment amount but I’m thinking I can get it around 5-10% The location is right by the exit for a large casino that is already willing to rent.

I liked going to Las Vegas, but normally stayed on the strip and the casinos.
