Dilapidated properties, train tracks, school zones, busy roads, air strips, gun clubs, flood zones, etc.My goal is always to make sure that my buyer goes into an offer with their eyes wide open and as much negative information as possible. 

@Lee Ripma Totally agree about El Sereno, it's right by USC's medical school and has had a solid increase in activity over the past 4 months, with CBRE purchasing a couple acres right in the center.

The good think about iphones is if you don't know how to use them you can ask any middle school girl how to use it because that is their phone of choice.

We might like to spend more time there when the kids are done with school in seven years (work is flexible and we can work from pretty much anywhere.) 

They have some excellent teachers and excellent schools especially in the suburbs. 

General Contractors typically (not always) have started as carpenters and have gained experiences and skills (on the job or in trade schools) on how to erect homes and buildings.

I prefer old school but I am fully aware that is far too much work for todays arm chair investors.

Michael,I would suggest contacting SCORE or local college Business Schools. 

A broker gave me an idea to go to school for getting my license.
