This may make sense if you're not holding the property long term or if you plan to refinance into conventional financing later when equity has been forced up.If you know you're also refinancing out soon you could also use a 5/1 ARM FHA or VA (if you're a vet) and have an even lower cost of holding the property while you plan your take out financing with conventional.Just make sure you research your market values and momentum in the market to ensure you have a good chance of obtaining the value you will need 6-12 months down the line because if not you may have an extended stay with FHA if the market values tank or you may have to contribute a large portion of equity to pay down the loan to an approriate LTV to refinance into conventional
