I purchase my 1st multi family in Durham last sept, I was debating between str and long term, I went with str and I am loving it so far. my dec occupancy is Unit one 2b1b: 82%unit 2 studio: 79% So far so good and already thinking of getting another one in 2025 🤤 These are great numbers for this time of year!

There are new construction homes about 2-3 miles away going for 190-200,000 but I think they may be a bit larger than what I am building.

I do not think they regulate this strictly on other industries like food service, or even medical.Sounds like the mayor or city planner or someone "important" had a bad stay at a STR somewhere.

An umbrella has nothing to do with those circumstances.I think some people hear umbrella and assume it's some sort of magical insurance that will protect them if anything goes wrong.
