When looking at macro-level data like this, it's also important to not make blanket statements (except that our legislation is awful :).Chicago has a larger population than Denver, Nashville, Minneapolis, and Salt Lake combined.

The location is a suburb of Minneapolis and The rent for the 3 bed is $1,100 and the 2 bed is $1,000 with long term renters in both.

I have a quadplex in minneapolis, in a solid area, for 200K.

It doesn’t seem like there is anything worth buying in Minneapolis area that is affordable.

I am looking at properties in Minneapolis and came across this one: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/4239-32nd-Ave-S-Minneapol...My thoughts are, if I were to purchase this property, do a basic repairs to kitchen and baths, and advertise as a STR or as basic rental.

The most damage was in a small area of Minneapolis.
