Due to this, i am now thinking of buying my first home in another city/state while continuing my corporate career here for a few more years.The obvious issue with this is the type of financing available if its not going to be my primary residence.

Will depend on several factors like the type of property, type of tenants, your risk tolerance, other assets you own, your estate planning, laws where the property is located, etc.Any lawsuits would be limited to the assets of the LLC and not your personal assets (assuming you run the LLC appropriately and the corporate veil is not pierced).

I live in northern Canada (so I understand there are legal differences from our neighbours to the south) and would like to start a real estate investing corporation with a few coworkers.We would be a group of about 5-7 individuals investing in Canada with options to spread into the States if things go well.What I would like advice on is what kind of verbiage to include in our contractual agreement (bylaws, unanimous shareholder agreement, etc.).

You have interesting goals - in a way similar to what I do currently (manage our SFR portfolio, rehab new acquisitions, GC for clients, build new for retail and working as an agent) - what I am finding is that I have too much going on and need to focus.After working in corporate for almost 20 years I am enjoying the freedom to start whatever project I find interesting if it makes sense and money.
