My primary company manages about 325 units, and has: (2) FT owner/managers, (1) FT leasing agent, (1) FT bookkeeper, (1) FT secretary/phones, (2) PT office assistants, and then about 10 people on the maint. staff (3 painters/turn, 2 work order/repair, 2 misc, 1 Section 8 specialist, 2 supervisors that also do billable hands-on work some of the time).

Then, READ THE LAW that governs the state in which you are forming and naming your business entity.If you need to talk to the real expert for your state, call the secretary of state's office in that state and have the receptionist transfer you to the person who handles formations and names for type of entity and ask them the question.Happy googling/dialing

The registration if the corpotaion from the secretary of state, the articles of incorporation, a copy of the by-laws, a copy of the minutes stating that the transacion is authorized by the board of directors and authorization for a person to sign on behalf of the corpotaion.

I was a broker and investor but I had my secretary with me, she wanted to learn investing, and did become a successful investor, any way I came back with a telephone book and had my secretary requesting one address at a time and finally when the light went on in the clerks brain she said come back tomorrow I'll have a list for you.

I will offer to get in between the attorney and the seller and let the seller know he doesn't have to deal with the attorney any longer if he doesn't like to and that he can deal only with me or maybe the attorney's secretary.

If you ever want to evict or go to court in MD, you'll want to make sure that you're registered to do business in MD with the MD Secretary of State.Therefore, if you organize the LLC in VA, you'd still have to register the LLC as a foreign company with the MD SoS.If it was me, I'd organize in MD.
