Say half the house burns down, if you aren't properly insured you will be stuck with the demo (or rebuild) bill since the insurance won't cover it and the city won't let you leave it as is.

We have had several of these types in the city that are on the demo list, as long as you show the judge the work is being done quickly and properly, they have no problem taking them off.
