Same with real estate.If you are okay with having a roommate I would definitely rent out your spare room.

@Wes Brand....I just spent 20 min stressing over reserving a rental car (compact for $116 vs mustang $125).   

It's the first one so we are doing it in our spare time.

I'll say this, given what you learn in their program I don't think it's overpriced (as compared to a college education) but there is just no way I'm going to have even 2,000 to spare anytime soon.

I rotate locks between houses, so the chances that someone could find a key and locate the house it's on (or it might be in the spare lockset box right now) is almost nil.If they feel unsafe because of the lost key, then I would charge them for changing out the lockset. 

I don't have a spare 300-400K to gift a house so I would not do that.

If you can spare the time I've also found that watching/listening to the webinars that the sites usually produce on each deal is worthwhile in order to get a flavor for the sponsor in person (so to speak) and see how he/she fields questions from potential investors.
