I order 500 or so bottles of water with labels promoting whatever business I'm working for at the time, get myself a giant (i do mean giant, 250 quart capacity minimum) ice chest and give them away.

Watch contractors and put them on a schedule, mine dragged it out far too long into the holiday season, who buys houses when they have to pay for Santa Claus?

We had one house where the lease ended in November/December, and it was difficult to find anyone who wanted to move during the holidays.

I made my GC get set up to take the cards also his first draw is 40k I smile and say to my self can not wait to the holidays to take the kids to see orlando . 

I know I've been through many older homes in Kalamazoo/Portage that have considerable deferred maintenance - whether they have an 'iron giant' furnace, asbestos coming out of a ceiling, etc.

I can't begin to count the holidays, birthdays and special events I missed through the years.
