So my wife and I were having a picnic by the intracoastal watching the million dollar yachts cruise by and were discussing our plans. 

I know the basics of contract assignment and read about Joe Mccall's course on assigning Lease/Option contracts and watched his YT vids and my curiosity is piqued..Is there anyone in the greater New Orleans area doing this and has some helpful advice for a new kid?  

There were additional fees for the online proctor to watch you take their tests in order to pass the class, but those are the only extra fees I can think of.

What are some things to watch out for, because I am still very new to this.

Similarly, I've seen posts saying that meetups are a more viable option to find serious partners.This is coming from someone who's spent most of their time on the side-line reading and watching, so take it with a grain of salt :)

And, if so, how did you like it and what are the things to watch out for?

Also look for referrals from real estate agents or brokers.I use 3-4 attorneys for different things and all of them came along the way from me watching how they conducted business or referrals from other professionals.

I have read many books on property investing, listened to the podcast and watch sever webinars.
