Hi everyone,I have the opportunity to start my short-term rental business by adding small/tiny houses in my property.

If its short term lower occupancy go for a smaller machine if it is larger occupancy you want a big machine.

I also am fine closing my purchase in cash, and refinancing shortly thereafter (or even down the road in 6-12 months).So for my questions:1) I've spoken with some mortgage brokers- they all seem to charge a lot of upfronts and are telling me I need to do a DSCR loan.

Don't try to short change the design team's fee when their expertise could get you out of a pickle and/or help immensely to speed up the process.

Seek out those who’ve been in the game for a while.

I know the podcasts and books speak about being in a deal with zero skin in the game, but that is an outlier situation not the norm. 

Lending can allow you to be more diversified and since it is short term, avoid getting caught in large downturns in the marketplace.

I want to keep away from any short cuts , I am not looking to take large cuts from sellers (I’m a true agent at heart and looking to serve my clients) .
