My wife kept scrupulously away from the family friend's family affairs except to sign the papers when needed.Looking at the situation from your dad's perceptive, if he only put your siblings down as trustees, which he can do, you will feel very hurt, left out, a situation I'm sure your dad is fully cognizant.

I'm not saying this has any reflection on you or what you are wanting, Zachary, but that is usually the perception from the agent's point of view.Since this is true, many of us investors obtained our own license so that we aren't relying on others and can 'waste' our own time using the real estate tools first hand to help ourselves and others.

Then in this thread, there is discussion about the need to have partners to head off any perception that an investor would be using an LLC as an alter ego.Does that mean every LLC created needs partners to be effective?

There is a perception of a ranking of those in lending, pawnbrokers and title loan types are at the bottom, commercial lenders on top, much has to do with the barrier to entry into lending, it's pretty easy getting a pawnbroker license, it's pretty hard getting into commercial lending with lending authority.
