Who gets the capital gains exemption(s) and how is it applied evenly across all 3?!

In marriage we’re suppose to support any pursuits that are important to our spouse.

This policy also ensures:-Anyone who inherits your title b/c of your death-Your spouse who receives your title b/c of dissolution of marriage-the trustee or successor trustee of your trust or any estate planning entity created for you to whom or to which you transfer title after the policy date-the benefeciaries of your trust upon your death-Anyone who receives your title by transfer effective on your death as authorized by law

@Sal RomanoA business partnership is like a marriage so make sure you trust the other person.Make sure that you each compliment each other when it comes to skills.I.E. in real estate, you normally need experience, time and money to get deals done.In your business - there is likely some similar requirements, make sure you and your partner check off all the boxes and that you both just aren't duplicating the same skill sets.

All sorts of things might be different for us.I'm saying all of this because if a newer home helps your marriage - what's that worth?  

Plus, hes kind of extended family by marriage, didnt find that out until after the fact, but I do feel that if I can help in some way make this go smoother for him/them, then I should.

My wife and I spent the first 6 years of our marriage in a duplex that we owned, renting out the lower unit while we lived in the upper unit.

Although you may be on the same page when you start out, so many other things can happen down the road including not only disagreements but divorces, marriages, financial problems, moving to a different state, etc. 

I ceased this practice in 2013 due to marriage.
