It is a great area to invest in and, as Jan mentioned, there are folks you can network with here to find reliable professionals to check on the properties for you.

WE see so many folks get screwed royally by wholesalers.. dont be one of them.

Hi All,So I've learned a lot in my REI journey and met some great folks here on BP.

If someone does you dirty, just don’t do business with them again and don’t hesitate to let our folks in your local investing community know that X can’t be trusted.

The people looking at one bedrooms are folks moving up from hotels - essentially homeless people.

And working on the foreclosure side of a bank, I can't tell you how many folks I've seen have one or two rental properties fail, which created a domino effect that completely wiped them out.  

I haven't had anyone burn me yet and some folks even ask to pay 100% up-front to get it out of the way.If I may, one thing I'm curious about though that you all might do is credit cards.

Folks if you have condo in upper unit with water heater please check its condition, make sure it's not rusty and/or has potential for leaking.

Accountants are in such demand, that the best are not even accepting clients half the time.The other problem I see often with accountants on here is that they specialize in larger investors, and have really high prices when you as a smaller investor do not need all the bells and whistles.Another thing I see is folks thinking they need to have a tax professional in their state.
