Since I have plenty of time now, I wanted to practice finding good deals so that when the time comes, I will have a better idea of what kind of investment to pull the trigger on.I want to buy small or medium multis to start, anything under 10 units.

Due to the refinance risk you mentioned, I personally don't go into any deals with short-term or medium-term debt (anything less than 7 years is a red flag for me and I move on).

But otherwise it's just seen as a luxury that low to low-medium income people will be glad to forgo and they make up the largest sector of potential homebuyers by the sheer number of people who meet that demographic.

I'm looking for guidance on a pest/bathroom issue.I  live on the first floor of the unit and my basement is split up so that front of the house has a small bedroom + bath then is a section for the furnace/boiler, then a medium sized studio w/ bathroom in 2nd half towards the back.
