At the end of the day, I understand you want to keep a 4.5 or 2.5% mortgage however if you come to find out that by accessing those funds via a second mortage, your overall payments would be higher, it actually might make sense to refinance and use those funds to invest.

STR income will always be dependent on who I managing the property, how nice the finishes and furnishings are, and the actual location of a property within the given city.With my STR in Destin, numbers are more or less the same as last year, perhaps down just a hair.

Being able to pick their brains is always helpful, both their successes, red flags, war stories, etc.And as Jonathan mentioned, the very first step of actually taking action is knowing how much money you have to allocate to buying a property, fixing up a property (if needed) and how much a bank will lend to you.
