The water underneath the crawl space has moved itself around the perimeter of the foundation so we will be installing a perimeter drainage system.

Get a contract to cover your time and resource to "lay the foundation."

Drywall cracks, space between trim and floor(both possible foundation issue indicators), proper attic venting(check temp in attic)

I have a cabin under contract in Granite Falls, WA that has some erosion around the foundation due to run-off from uphill.

The area I am looking in has bungalows built in the 1920s, which has led me to focus on the condition of the foundation as the biggest type of expense.

Concentrate on big items like foundation, roof, flooring, hardscape, Windows, etc. 

To get into context, this quad isn't on the market, but the owner did try to sell it before, previous "buyers" backed off after inspection.Originally it was built the 1890, the interior of the building is actually very clean (I was very surprised), the issue is with the foundation.
