IE many states have many different MLS systems .. and its rare that agents will join one not close to them or in their core market just to service one client.. for instance in the Portland metro area you go 40 miles south and thats a different MLS U go 40 north thats different you go 40 west to the coast thats different. what you will find is Agents that live in these smaller markets may join the big city market so they can put their listings on their local one and the big city one.
