We aren't looking to pay for insurance if already covered.Other Info:The condo complex is raised (Stilted)We have requested info from the HOA to see whats covered in the Master policy.Scenario:If we don't take this coverage (as its the master policy has wind and flood) and opt for the studs-in and contents only, would we be covered if say in a hurricane the slider glass got damaged by debris and the interior suffered damage, or if a flood affected our second floor unit, maybe even a wave?"

The City of Independence stated that they have been trying to get USREEB to fix the issue for almost 2 years & I was never even notified of such issue.The tenant moved out Aug 2017 & the property management company kept charging me utilities upwards of $400 when the property was vacant & did not/could not provide me proof or answer why.The bottom of the kitchen sink cabinet was missing & had fungi growth that was never cleaned and replaced.

It's a glass and concrete Jungle that the .1% can afford but hardly anyone else.What Brooklyn had was proximitry to Manhattan and a hip and trendy vibe along with some very famous people, including Spike Lee, Biggie, etc. here is a List: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_from_BrooklynThere is a huge spill over to Brooklyn from Manhattan and that created a huge demand and spurred development which then made Brooklyn into a destination that has become Internationally known.The writing was on the wall for anyone that was paying attention and can say to themselves....

I shouldn’t drive over to see the house unless I have a proof of funds letter from the lender, but I can’t get a proof of funds letter unless I know what the rehab/repair costs will be if that will be included, and I can’t get the rehab/repair costs unless I get inside the house.Am I reading too much into this conondrum?

If you want to stay in REI, I would recommend biting the bullet and getting a PM - its going to make your life so much easier.Now, a more complicated option (but one with some great long-term benefits) would be to consider a Charitable Remainder Trust.

Within the last two months I did what I thought was making my home “renter proof” got rid of carpet, added new appliances, repaired and painted walls, fixed up the landscaping for some visual appeal.
