Not only to keep them from being aggressive, but to keep dogs away from the property if a female is in heat, or have one that's not neutered run off and get somebody's poodle preggers.I'd also require renter's insurance with a rider for the dog, if there is such a thing.Ironically, the only breed that has ever attacked dogs of mine, all different types of terriers of around 20 pounds, have been german shepherds.

If you had a single family home that you did not live in for rent, you could not differentiate between a man or woman, but since you live there, you are well within your rights to limit it to a female or many other criteria that would make you feel safer.

If a landlord resides in the same home, like renting the upstairs, then you can limit who you rent to, avoid all discrimination issues and only select, say, single females between the ages of 25 to 35 who are swim suit models.So, yes, if they qualify on "paper" you better rent to them just like anyone else. :)

I have a tenant (single female) on the 1st floor who has only been there a few weeks and has sex quite loudly around 2am when I am trying to sleep after putting in a 12-16hr workday.
