About 3 weeks ago, I started researching how to make passive income and stumbled upon the many videos by BiggerPockets on Youtube.

There probably aren’t any crazy laws prohibiting what you are trying to do, but your very first stumbling block (aside from liability exposure....especially with a garage renter) will be when you go to do your taxes the first year.  

I recently stumbled upon an extremely run down home (foundation, roof, siding, mold, etc.) single family home on a nice lot in a high end neighborhood.

Also, I'm sure you have stumbled across the PIG group if you have been looking. 

I stumbled across them looking to invest in the DFW metroplex.

I test software for a living for a firm operating out of downtown Chicago and I came to join bigger pockets after stumbling upon the bigger pockets real estate podcast on Spotify.I am looking forward to learning from everyone here and to growing with fellow newbies and I will do my best to stay engaged as I know that there is a huge wealth of knowledge and resources in these ranks.
