Hello DP, newbie looking to purchase my first duplex (1700sq ft, block construstion, asphalt shingle roof, approx $100K purchase price) and was wondering what type of insurance coverages and limits should I need? 

If it were me I would just make some rules about placement/location of the  dish ie: no drilling through stucco, siding, shingles, or wood trim and fascia, dish unit must be free standing and not visible from street etc. 

Needs roof sheathing, shingles, AC units, full kitchens and single bathroom rehabs. 

Is it tiles or shingles.  

I gave my Agent a copy of the roofing materials list from two years ago when I shingled over the perfectly good, rolled roofing roof.

The replacement is a charcoal black architectural shingle, with no changes to the structure.

I have seen many a duplex with 2 different types of shingles with a line down the middle because they are owned separately. 

I live in a beach community and through the years I had continuously walked by a shingle-sided house with a great ocean view. 

Nice if you need lots of lumber,  drywall, shingles, etc.

I think its a really interesting thought model if nothing else though so I won't point out some of the obvious negatives to even consider doing something like this.That being said, the one thing that I've suggested a few times for BP is to provide some way for us to share contractors and/or allow contractors or other real estate team members (i.e. realtors, attorneys, etc) to advertise on here.To me, thats such a huge value opportunity for everybody involved, it just doesn't make sense why they aren't doing it.BP could charge the contractors to hang a shingle on here.
