My neophyte brain says "Well that's odd that that inventory is up over 50% from two years ago and my calculation says we are still in a seller's market.".....which then leads to "so does this mean we were SO far in the hole that even with that huge increase, by 'normal' standards we would still be in a sellers market, and our perception is just different at this juncture," followed by "or is my zooming in only on SFH in DC proper skewing my image?"

Being situated in the NW, my perception of housing has been that buying (for me) is slightly out of reach and the 50k rental homes are a thing of the past or in other markets far out of my back yard.

I taught high school for 12 years as well, so my judgmental response to that kind of typing is that I wouldn't want someone who doesn't know how to structure a simple sentence to be entrusted with my funds and crafting binding contracts for me--it also makes my hand fairly twitch for that red pen...heh.I have not been able to comprehend why someone would want to purposefully put forth the perception of ignorance.
