I’d love to share some insights that might help guide you as you build your business and investment strategy.Step 1: Focus on Building RelationshipsSince you’re new to the game, leverage your wife’s new license and start networking with local investors and realtors.

This gives people little reason to choose older existing homes over new developments.

You will need to really start playing the long game though and focus on securing assets that have good underlying fundamentals as you will need to get more creative with the financing if you want to keep moving quickly.

But if you are limited and want to get into the game, I say jump in but be picky.

BUT, I am confident that while the above covers MOST situations, in a country of 300 million + people there are locations where a 12% ROI exists for a car lot - though you may be giving up the “windfall” of a developer wanting and willing to pay a premium for your lot.  

Most times things don't go to plan in one way or another.You need to develop your project management skills because that is how you eat a loss on one area and manage the project to success.
