Needless to say they shut down that program after they realized people were buying in bulk and costing the federal government the 3% processing fee that credit card companies charge to handle the transaction.I don't live in a cheap enough market, but if I did then you better believe I would use the gift card / money order combo to purchase a house for under 100k, and then continually transfer the CC balances to zero APR promo cards. 

Anyway, he said he “hopes” to be able to move out this month, but will let me know...Needless to say, I’m not optimistic during this time

Needless to say I will put that strategy to rest and would like to just put it out there that this happens so please have necessary funds to pay off the loan stashed in a separate account just in case.  

Needless to say I have been very impressed with what he has been able to do in the area. 

There were mattresses on the floor, two or three in every room, all the windows were blocked off, no light bulbs in any of the lights, all the electrical was exposed and done by someone who had no idea what they were doing... everything about the place was a disaster.Walking through that property opened up my eyes to the conditions that some people live in and needless to say, I was blown away.
