City may have ordinances regarding that also so you could site that rule. but basically if it's done inside the garage on his own personal car I would be fine with it as long as he has taken care of oil waste and puts down protective mats, If his car dripped oil on the driveway.. would you have a fit or what ?..

Townhouses and rowhouses are worth it toward the center of cities, where a car is not necessary.

Every year I keep driving my current car, is another ~$5,000 year saved that is put towards stocks or real estate.

The cheapest car is not the most reliable, etc. 

I moved to the area (Cary) about 2 years ago.   

After looking in the Cary/Apex areas for a few months in the $300k bracket, I decided to move closer to RTP and signed a purchase contract for a new SFH build in Durham (Brightleaf subdivision). ~2600 sq ft, 4BR/3BA, two car garage.
